Deep in the heart of the Whispering Woods, three unicorn sisters named Beepy, Leeny, and Deegy stood together. Today was the day their wise mommy told them it was time to go out into the great magical forest and build their very own homes.
Beepy, who was only six years old, skipped ahead with joy. She loved sweet things more than anything else in the world, so she decided her house would be made entirely of delicious pink cotton candy, lollipop pillars, and soft marshmallow bricks.
Leeny, the eight-year-old sister, chose to build her house out of sweet forest fruits. She carefully stacked giant strawberries, wove wild grapevines for walls, and used hollowed-out watermelons to make a cozy, fragrant home that smelled just like summertime.

Meanwhile, the oldest sister, ten-year-old Deegy, knew that the forest could be dangerous. She worked hard to gather heavy gray river stones to build a strong, sturdy fortress.
No sooner had the sisters finished their new homes than a deep, rumbling roar echoed through the tall trees. Out from the dark mountains flew a big, bad dragon with scales as red as fire and a hungry growl in his belly.
He spotted Beepy's sugary candy house first. With a mighty inhale, the dragon blew a hot stream of fiery breath, melting the marshmallow walls and cotton candy roof into gooey pink puddles in an instant!

Terrified, little Beepy galloped as fast as her legs could carry her to Leeny's fruit house, but the hungry dragon was right on her hooves.
The dragon took another deep breath and let loose a massive wall of fire. The sweet strawberries and grapevines of Leeny’s fruit house sizzled, popped, and turned to ash, sending the two sisters running for their lives.
They raced through the trees towards Deegy's stone house, crying out for help. Deegy quickly opened her heavy wooden door and pulled her sisters safely inside just as the dragon landed outside with a heavy thud.

The dragon huffed and puffed, blowing his hottest flames against the thick stone walls, but Deegy’s house remained perfectly safe and cool inside.
Realizing he couldn't burn down the stone house, the greedy dragon began to pace outside, trying to think of a way to get the unicorns out. He was getting very hot and extremely thirsty from blowing so much fire.
Deegy peeked out the window and noticed the dragon panting. Right next to her yard was the legendary Fountain of Bad-Water, which looked sparkling and delicious but was actually filled with a magical potion that caused terrible tummy aches.

Whispering a clever plan to her sisters, Deegy pointed toward the bubbling fountain, hoping the thirsty dragon would take the bait.
The dragon ran over to the fountain and drank deep, swallowing great gulps of the cold, bubbling water. Almost instantly, his eyes went wide and his red scales turned a strange, sickly shade of greenish-blue.
His tummy rumbled so loudly it sounded like thunder in the forest. Groaning in pain and holding his stomach, the big bad dragon realized he had been tricked. He let out a tiny, smoky burp, turned around, and flew away into the distance, never to return.

With the dragon gone forever, the three unicorn sisters celebrated their victory and lived happily ever after, safe and warm in Deegy’s sturdy stone house.
